As part of our service & maintenance service we do over a 24 hour call out response service. It is structured to maximize the integrity of the client’s fire alarm system to ensure the highest level of operational performance at all times throughout the year.
In Addition to this we can also provide a seperate response service called Redcare.
Redcare is a derived channel service which makes use of one of the normal speech telephone lines existing in the protected building to relay a fire alarm to the Fire Authority through our Central Monitoring Station.
Our monitoring service includes not only ensuring the most rapid response by fire fighters to any fire incident in the premises, but also constant monitoring of the line and facility so that if a fault develops, or the line is disconnected for any reason then prompt action can be taken to restore service.
Redcare is both simple and economical:
- There are no extra charges for a direct line or an ex-directory line.
- Use of the telephone does not interfere with the alarm signalling.
- Alarm messages will be sent whilst the line is in use for a normal call but will not interfere with the continuation of the call.. No dialling or call set up is involved as Redcare incorporates the continuous integration and verification of the alarm system.

The Monitoring Equipment in the Remote Manned Centre. British Telecom and the Central Monitoring Station, through the Telecom Redcare Service, provide 24hour Surveillance of the Redcare Network to detect alarm calls, faults and/or system failures within seconds, with a prompt fire authority, engineer and customer response 365 days a year.
Customer Care Service:
Amalgamated’s 24 hour Customer Care Service is structured to maximise the integrity of systems to ensure the best protection of life and property. The service has two components:
- Regular routine fault preventative service visits to keep the system in good repair.
- Emergency call out for any problems which may arise.
