Geoff Teader
Managing Director
Geoff Teader transferred to Manchester from London in the 60s and has subsequently worked as a specialist contractor within the construction industry. In May 1970, He formed Amalgamated Ltd., providing a comprehensive service, from design to maintenance, within the fire alarm industry. He has operated as sole Director for the last 25 years and has been both Manchester Branch and NW Regional Chairman of the Electrical Contractors Association. He continues to serve on two national committees. He was invited onto the board of Manchester Business Link to represent SMEs and has served for 14 consecutive years.
Allan Littler
Chairman
Allan Littler joined Amalgamated Ltd. as Non Executive Chairman in April 2001 to aid the process of Corporate Governance and to provide additional imputes to the planning process. He currently holds several non Executive positions within the electrical industry, ECA, JIB and NICEIC. Allan is immediate past President of the ECA (Electrical Contractors Association), which continues to be the leading Trade Association for the Contracting Industry. Allan was Managing Director of Manweb Contracting Services Limited a ScottishPower Company and is a member of the British Institute of Management (MBIM).
Ann Teader
Company Secretary
Ann Teader has been with Amalgamated Ltd. in excess of twenty years. As company Secretary Ann has responsibility for the day-to-day infrastructure services, embracing Finance, Human Resources, Health and safety, Quality, Environment, Marketing and Accounts. Ann’s background before she joined Amalgamated Ltd was in Education.
Ken Pearson
Technical Manager
Ken Pearson was formally trained as Electrical Technician Engineer and his expertise lies within Systems Design and Projects. Before joining Amalgamated Ltd in 1980, he was involved in the design and manufacture of fire alarm control panels and associated field equipment, including all types of automatic fire detectors.
With over 35 years experience of large fire systems for clients within Healthcare, Educational environment, he is currently providing support for our client base in matters relating to fire alarm system management, the CFOA Policy and the RRFSO.
Ken is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers and the National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers, inputting into the BSI, BFPSA, ECA and NHS on matters affecting our industry.
Nick Mason
Operations Manager
Nick started his career as an apprentice wireman, working his way to workshop supervisor, and then moved into a commissioning role. After a merger Nick became the Service Manager looking after fire alarms and security systems for the northern region of a national company. Nick joins us as the Operations Manager to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely and profitable.
Adam Greenland
Marketing Manager
Adam has come to us from Barclays Bank Plc, where he worked within the Internal Communications team as a Communication Advisor: Print & Multimedia. Prior to this he has worked for Manchester Airport within their Development Department and at The Guardian Newspaper. Adam’s responsibilities cover a wide range of activities including the redesign and launch of our website plus introducing new marketing initiatives into the business.
